Course
Accommodation: 450 - 900 Euros
As
the course is very intensive, it is very important that your accommodation
is comfortable, easy to reach and allows you to study at home
if you want to. In Florence we are able to offer a variety of
options booked through our partner CLIDA. Accommodation options
include shared trainee flats, Italian Homestay or self arranged
accommodation.
I.
Shared Flats
Shared flats for the use of trainees following
the CertTESOL course can be reserved through CLIDA. These are
all easily accessible via public transport and travelling time
to and from the school is no more than thirty minutes. Flats are
fully functional and well equipped to European standards. You
will have your own room (unless you request to share) and usually
1-3 other trainees as flatmates. The flats include a kitchen,
living area and fully-equipped bathroom and WC. Bedrooms are furnished
with a single or double bed, chair, clothes-closet and bedside
table. Some rooms may include study desks or there are common
study areas. There are also other essential household items and
in most cases a washing machine, but dryers are rare. Blankets
and sheets are provided, but bath towels are not. Flats are non-smoking
unless trainees agree otherwise among themselves.
- Availability
Your accommodation is available for 28 nights
( from the Sunday before the first day of the course to the Saturday
after the last day of the course ). We can often allow trainees
to move into the accommodation a few days early, or stay a few
days after, but we cannot guarantee it. If you would like to know
if you can arrive early or leave late please ask the housing coordinator
before you make any travel plans and we will confirm availability
in writing. If you choose to arrive before the available dates
you will have to make hostel or hotel reservations for your first
night(s) in Florence – see below for some useful websites.
- The
average price for a room in a shared flat is:
Single room 550 Euros
Shared room 450 Euros
Individual apartment 800 - 2,000 Euros
II.
Italian Home Stay
If you are interested in immersing yourself
more in the culture and improving your Italian during your CertTESOL
course in Florence then this is for you.
- The
basic 4 week package costs:
Private room & Breakfast 650 Euros
Bed, Breakfast and family dinner 900 Euros
- A
shared room (with another student) with a family is also available:
Bed & Breakfast 510 Euros
Bed, Breakfast and family dinner 800 Euros
You
can stay in school accommodation (see 1 above) for the duration
of your CertTESOL course and then move into Homestay accommodation,
if you wish to combine it with an Italian course + Internship.
III.
Arranging Accommodation Yourself
Of course, trainees are free to arrange their
own accommodation and there is a lot of information available on
the Internet. If we can help in any way, by making reservations,
paying deposits or so on, we will be happy to do so.
