Course Accommodation: 280 - 490 Euros
As the course is intensive so it's very important that your accommodation
is comfortable, easy to reach and allows you to study at home if
you want to. We provide an optional accommodation service to all
who request it. Rooms and amenities are up to the expected standard
before allocating them.
Accommodation for trainees falls into the following main
categories:
I. Shared Flats
These are easily accessible via public transport and travelling
time to and from the school is no more than thirty minutes. Flats
are fully functional and well equipped to European standards. You
will have your own room (390-490 EUR) or a shared room (280-390
EUR) in a 3-4 bedroom flat with other trainees and/or local &
international students as flatmates. The flats include a furnished
kitchen, a fully-equipped bathroom and WC. Bedrooms are furnished
with a single or double bed, chair, clothes-closet and bedside table.
Some rooms include study desks or there are common study areas.
There are also other essential household items and in most cases
a washing machine, but dryers are rare. Blankets and bed sheets
are provided, but bath towels are not. Flatmates will decide the
smoking rules for each apartment.
- Availability
Course accommodation is available from the Sunday before the first
day of the course to the Saturday after the last day of the course.
We can often allow trainees to move into the accommodation a few
days early, or stay a few days after, but we cannot guarantee
it. Extra nights are priced at 15-20 Euro and are based on availability.
If you would like to know if you can arrive early or leave late
please ask before you make any travel plans and we will confirm
availability in writing. If you choose to arrive before the available
dates you will have to make hostel or hotel reservations for your
first night(s) in Barcelona.
II. Family Home Stay
If you're interested in living with a local Catalan-Spanish family
during the course, please contact us regarding availability, locations
and prices.
III. TEFL Bed & Breakfast
The B&B has 5 rooms, all of them are large. There are 2 rooms
with a balcony, 1 with a small enclosed winter garden and 2 more
with large windows. There is also a comfortable living room with
a veranda. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are 3 bathrooms.
Location: 2nd floor on a pedestrian shopping street in the centre
of the most popular tourist area called Bario Gotico (Gothic Quarter).
Steps from the Cathedral, the port, Las Ramblas and more, you can
easy use 2 of the metro lines (green and yellow) as well as multiple
bus routes from nearby Plaza Catalunya.
Average room rate for the TEFL B&B package
is 650 Euros for 4 weeks and include:
Daily Breakfast
Daily cleaning service in the common areas (living room, corridor,
bathrooms, kitchen, etc)
Complete bed linen and towels
Monthly transport ticket for bus, metro, etc. (50 rides/30 days)
Weekly laundry (bed linen + towels), self service laundry available
as well
All utilities including WiFi
Cultural and tourist information from your hosts who also run a
boutique hotel 2 floors above.
It is possible to share a room with 2 single beds
or a double bed, for a supplement of 75 Euros
Arranging Accommodation Yourself
Trainees are free to arrange their own accommodation and there is
a lot of information available on the Internet. If we can help in
any way, by making reservations, paying deposits or so on, we will
be happy to do so. The most popular message board and website for
finding rooms and flats in various cities in Spain is www.loquo.com
.Locals use this for housing, language exchange, buying and selling
most anything.
