Spotlight ::: Edel and Rebecca (sisters from Ireland) attended EuroTEFL Barcelona
and are currently living and teaching in Warsaw, Poland
Hello
there!
We never made it to Prague! We decided to go to
Warsaw instead and managed to pick up work. Started teaching last
week, went well. They gave us the first lesson plan for all our
classes so that made things a lot easier. I'm mostly teaching kids,
everything from 6 to 15 and a few adult classes thrown in to. Some
classes with disgruntled teenagers too, oh joy! My sister Edel has
got a similar mix of everything. The school were in, Angloschool,
just hired about 10 new native teachers and Polish teachers. Everyone
seems dead sound. They've got 7 schools around the city so you teach
the same group a few times over throughout the week, lots of recycling
of lesson plans...good stuff! So if any of your future students
are looking for place to go, I'd definitely recommend it. Warsaw
is a fantastic city too, a lot bigger than Krakow and not as pretty.
They have an old town part that was reconstructed in the 70's similar
to Krakow and loads of cool bars. Cool city, tell everyone to come!
Hope all is well in Barcelona, take care,
Edel and Rebecca
